For teams that cannot complete the upgrade before December 2026, XLTS provides critical security patches and compliance support for 6, 12 or 24 months.
XLTS creates additional planning time. It does not add new platform features.
Umbraco 18 may suit teams that need its Library and Elements capabilities now. Its shorter STS lifecycle should be included in future upgrade planning. Umbraco 18 reaches End of Life on 25 June 2027.
